Fiat Tipo promo video released

As Fiat prepare for launching an assault in the sedan segment with their latest entrant – the Tipo/Egea in   Europe, Middle East and Africa, a new promotional video of the Tipo has been released along with its price, in Italy.

Fiat has revealed that the Tipo, in Italy, will start at 12,500 Euros, which approximately INR 9 lakhs. The video details some standard features of the Tipo.  The entry-level version comes with a 1.4-litre petrol engine, producing 94bhp and 127Nm of torque. Then there is a 1.6-litre unit with 108bhp and 152Nm of torque. The diesel engines offered include a 1.3-litre engine with 94bhp and a 1.6-litre unit with 118bhp, The price of which goes up to 16,500 Euros (INR 11.8 lakhs).

Fiat has received over 1000 booking in Italy itself, during its launch and the numbers are steadily growing . The Tipo will be manufactured in Turkey, at the Tofas facility in Bursa. It will be sold under the brand name Egea, in Turkey, whereas in Europe, it will be known as the Tipo. Fiat will also be launching a hatchback version of the Tipo soon, which will be followed by an estate version.
