Maruti to get new platform with this Rs 10 lakh SUV
Maruti is the biggest manufacturer in the Indian car market. But most of its success is limited to entry-level and compact cars. It has no car in the lucrative C-segment SUV segment, dominated by the Hyundai Creta. Maruti is working with Toyota to create an India specific C-segment SUV. Maruti’s entry into the segment is expected to shake this segment. In today’s article, we will see this Maruti Rs 10 lakh SUV.
Maruti Rs 10 lakh SUV- design
The Maruti C-segment SUV will get a modern design. Considering Toyota is leading the development of this SUV, it will get some Toyota SUV characteristics. It is expected to get a sharp and sleek front look. The side profile will also get some curvy bits to maintain the SUV look. The rear of the car is expected to get LED tail lamps with new bumpers. In the interiors, it will get a modern dashboard layout with added comfort features.
Specifications
This C-segment SUV will be based on Toyota’s TNGA (Toyota’s New Global Architecture) platform. Coming to the engine options, it is expected to come with only petrol engine options. The car will be available with a petrol engine and diesel engine option. Transmission options will include a manual and an automatic gearbox. It might come with a hybrid system too.

This segment is filled with feature-loaded cars. To compete in this segment, Maruti is expected to load this SUV with a lot of features. It is expected to get features like a big infotainment system, connected car tech, electric sunroof, wireless connectivity, wireless charging, digital instrument cluster, automatic headlamps & wipers, LED headlamps and much more.
Launch and pricing
This C-segment SUV is currently in its development stage and not much is known about its launch timeline. But, it is expected to be launched in 2023. Maruti is expected to price the car competitively. It is expected to start from Rs 10 lakh(ex-showroom).
