10 things to come in the new-generation Mahindra Bolero
In India, the Mahindra Bolero has been one of the most reliable and affordable all-purpose vehicles that are currently available. The Bolero is mostly used as a people mover, taxi, and in some states, it serves the police department. The car runs on any kind of road, be it city roads, poor terrain or mountain roads, or dirt roads of rural India. An updated model of the Bolero is expected soon. In this article, we will be discussing features that will be included in the new generation of Mahindra Bolero.
Mahindra Bolero with 4×4
Currently, the Mahindra Bolero is a rear-wheel-drive vehicle. The new generation Bolero is expected to get a 4×4 variant as well. This will add one more product from Mahindra that can be a good off-road vehicle.
New touch screen infotainment system
A new seven-inch touch screen infotainment system is expected to be offered in the new-generation Mahindra Bolero. It will also offer Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity in the new generation of Bolero. This feature will make the car technologically updated and improve its image from being just a taxi or people mover. This will be similar to the infotainment system seen in the recently launched Bolero Neo.
New dashboard layout
A newly designed dashboard layout is also expected in the new generation Bolero. There will be dual-tone interiors and even dual-tone upholstery. Adding colors to the interiors will give a fresh look to this car. The car is also expected to get AC vents with USB charging ports for second-row passengers.
Different Body Style
The new generation Mahindra Bolero is expected to be offered in three body styles, a single cabin pickup truck which might be called the Bolero Maxi, a five-seater double cabin expected to be called the Bolero Camper, and the usual Bolero SUV. Currently, the Mahindra Bolero is offered in three colors viz. Diamond White, Lakeside Brown, and Mist Silver. Mahindra might add some more color options to make it more lively and appealing for urban buyers.
New Generation Bolero Lights
The new generation Mahindra Bolero is also expected to get Halogen headlamps, along with a new set of LED DRL, and LED taillights. The shape of the lights will continue to be the same.
Dimensions
The dimensions of the new generation Mahindra Bolero will remain unchanged as far as length is considered but there might be slight changes in height and width. The car will get metal embossed doors and cladding like the Bolero Neo and XUV300. The new generation Bolero is expected to look more muscular and rugged.
Tyre Size
The new generation Bolero is expected to get bigger wheels. The base variant will get 15-inch tyres and the top-end variant is expected to get 17-inch tyres. Adding alloy wheels will increase the cost significantly and there are very slim chances of Mahindra adding alloy wheels to Bolero.
Suspension
The new generation of Mahindra Bolero will get revamped suspensions. The front suspension will be independent and the rear will be a multilink suspension. This will improve the ride quality and overall performance of this SUV.
Cruise Control
The new generation Mahindra Bolero is also expected to get cruise control. This will make highway driving easy especially for people who are new to driving on highways.
Safety
Previously safety was not given priority by buyers as well as carmakers. Back then the car used to come with basic features and did not focus much on safety features. The new generation Bolero is expected to get dual airbags, ABS with EBD, ESP, and Brake assist. This will improve the safety quotient of the car.
