We were the first to reveal the name of Mahindra KUV100. Mahindra & Mahindra took the wraps off their much awaited compact SUV here in Mumbai today. We were the first to reveal that it would be called the KUV100.  The Kool & Trendy compact SUV is to be powered by a whole new range of engines, called the mFalcon. In addition to the diesel motor, the mFalcon family will include an all-new petrol engine for the first time. The petrol is a 1.2-litre that produces 82bhp and is called as mFalcon, G80, while the diesel is a 1.2-litre 77bhp engine that is called as mFalcon, D75.The KUV100 will be launched in seven colours and bookings will commence from tomorrow. The launch is on 15th January. It will be coming with four variants K2, K2+, K4, K4+, K6, K6+ and K8. All the + are optional variants that will have airbags as an optional feature. ABS is offered as a standard feature on all the variants. There are 18 patents that have been filed for the technology used on this car.

The Mahindra KUV100 will be competing with the Hyundai Grand i10. The pricing of the Mahindra KUV100 will be about INR 4.5-8 lakhs. This is a new segment that has been made and the next product in this line will be the Maruti Ignis. The KUV100 is a five-seater SUV and it be a feature packed SUV.
