Hyundai Venue 7 seater – next big thing?
The Indian market is a constantly evolving one. Manufacturers need to be on their toes to keep up with the market. One such manufacturer that has done well in this regard has been Hyundai. The 7-seater market has been expanding at a rapid pace. Hyundai launched Alcazar to benefit from this trend. But it needs to bring a cheaper 7-seater to stretch its advantage. Kia is already working on a 7-seater MPV to undercut the Alcazar. So we can also expect a 7-seater based on the Venue 7-seater. In today’s article. We will see this Hyundai Venue 7-seater.
Hyundai 7-seater exterior design
This Venue 7-seater will be identical to the normal Venue. It will carry forward Venue’s futuristic design language. The side profile will get an extended look due to extra-row. The rest of the design will remain similar to the Venue.
Interior design
The interiors will be similar to the Venue. It will get well laid-out interiors with a modern dashboard layout. It will get interior features from the Venue like a sunroof, 8-inch infotainment system, air purifier, cooled glovebox, arkamys sound mood and connected car tech. Additionally, Hyundai might give it HUD and AC vents & charging spots in the 3rd row.
Hyundai 7-seater specifications
This Venue 7-seater will be based upon the K2 platform, which will also underpin the Kia 7-seater. Dimensions wise, the car will be similar to the Maruti Ertiga. It will get the same engines as the Venue. The engine options will include a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated, 1.0-litre turbo petrol and a 1.5-litre Diesel engine. Transmission options will be also similar. The availability of a diesel engine will be a game-changer.
The dimensions will also change. We can definitely see a increase in wheelbase and overall length. The car will no longer be a sub-four meter car!
Is it a possibility?
There is nothing concrete regarding this Venue 7-seater. But Kia is already testing the another 7-seater. Considering how similar the Venue and Sonet are, it makes perfect sense for Hyundai to bring a Venue 7-seater. Also the K2 platform is very modular – it can be done!
