Mahindra XUV300 is one of the safest cars in the compact SUV segment. The car was one of the initial ones to have scored five-star safety rating in GNCAP test. Not just safety, the XUV300 does offer multiple segment-first features as well. Overall, the car does come out to be a great value for money proposition. With that being said, Mahindra has not updated the car ever since it was launched in 2019. We expect Mahindra to bring an update for the XUV300 soon. Today’s article will deal with our expectations of the Mahindra XUV300 facelift.

Mahindra XUV300 Exterior Design

The Mahindra XUV300 comes with a modern design that gives it an aggressive appeal. However, since the car has not been updated, it does miss out on the ‘unique’ factor that other new competitors offer. Mahindra is expected to update the design heavily in order to give it a fresh appeal. Newly-designed headlamps & tail lamps, bumpers and alloys are expected to make their way to the updated car. New colour options might also be made available. Mahindra XUV300 might now offer an all-LED setup as well in order to enhance the premium appeal.

The interiors of the XUV300 will also get a fresh look. New centre console layout will replace the one that looks outdated when compared to any other competitor in the segment. The XUV300 is expected to offer features like dual zone climate control, seven airbags, steering modes, etc. that Mahindra offers with the current one as well. Features like wireless charging, premium sound system, ambient lighting, digital instrument cluster, etc. could also be added.

Specifications

Although the new XUV300 is not expected to see any major changes in the dimensions, it will surely see its powertrain getting updated. Mahindra is said to be updating its 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine. The company will offer this engine with Direct-Injection technology. The engine is thus expected to produce 130bhp, giving other competitors a tough fight in this department.
