The car we are going to talk about here was launched in 2016 and soon became a segment leader. This car was doing good sales figures because of its butch looks, good space, decent engine, and affordable pricing from Maruti. It came with a diesel engine earlier but is now available with a petrol engine only. Recently, the car faces some serious competition from Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Nissan Magnite, and Renault Kiger. Yes, you guessed it right, in this article we are discussing our expectations from the new generation Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza.

Specifications

The new generation Vitara Brezza will not have any major changes when it comes to its length. The car will continue to be a sub-four meter SUV. The new generation Brezza will be built on the Heartect platform. The car is currently 1790mm wide and 1640mm tall. We can expect a minor increase in width and height. We also expect Maruti to give 17-inch alloy wheels to compete with cars like Mahindra XUV300 and Kia Sonet. When it comes to the engine of the car, the Brezza will continue to get the 1.5-litre petrol engine which comes with a manual and automatic transmission. The car will get a hybrid powertrain too like the upcoming Honda City. The car is also expected to get a BS6 compliant 1.5-litre diesel engine if Maruti sees the demand is high enough.

The Maruti Brezza will continue the butch design and will retain its strong SUV-like side profile. The Vitara Brezza will get a newly designed front grille, a new set of headlamps, lower bumpers, and fog lamps. The door panels, bumpers, and tailgate will also see a design update. The interiors of the cars will see a bigger touch screen infotainment system, new seats, refreshed instrument cluster, and a completely redesigned center console. The Vitara Brezza is finally expected to get some features like six airbags, wireless charging, and advanced connected car technology. Maruti will be focusing more on Comfort and space in Vitara Brezza during this upgrade. Vitara Brezza is the only car from Maruti to score a four-star rating at the Global NCAP safety ratings. The new generation Vitara Brezza is expected to continue the legacy and even score better at the Global NCAP test.

Price and Launch

The new generation Maruti Brezza will be launched in its new avatar by the first half of 2022. The car was expected to make its public appearance in mid of 2021 but due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the shortage of microchips, the same was delayed. The Vitara Brezza is expected to be priced around Rs 6 lakh to Rs 12 lakh (ex-showroom price). We also expect six variants with each engine transmission option in the Vitara Brezza.
