The XUV300, Thar, Bolero Neo, and now with the popularity of the XUV700, Mahindra has cemented its image as a SUV manufacturer. Mahindra has plans to launch nine new products in India by 2025. The XUV900 is a sports coupe from the nine upcoming cars from Mahindra. In this article, we discuss what the XUV900 could get in the coming future.

Mahindra XUV900 Coupe - 5 things we want

The XUV900 is going to be the first of its kind sports coupe-style SUV from Mahindra. We have seen such products from premium brands such as BMW and Mercedes-Benz with sports coupe-style SUVs in the form of the X6 and GLC Coupe respectively. The XUV900 is being designed and manufactured by an Indian brand. The car was on display during the Auto Expo 2016 in the form of the XUV Aero Concept. And since then cars enthusiasts have been eagerly waiting for this car.

XUV900 Engine

Mahindra M-Hawk Engine

The Mahindra Thar and the XUV700 launched in the last 2 years, showcased what the brand has to offer in terms of latest performance. Both these SUVs debuted the all new 2.0-litre turbo petrol and 2.2-litre diesel engine from Mahindra. The petrol engine in the XUV700 with 200bhp is the most powerful car by an Indian manufacturer. The diesel engine in it’s most powerful tune makes 185bhp and a whopping 450Nm of torque. The Mahindra Thar too with these engines different state of tune has made this off-road SUV a great all-rounder. So with the XUV900 we expect Mahindra to push the performance envelope further.

Notchback Design

XUV900

The design of the XUV900 is what will make this car a unique product while being practical. Mahindra will incorporate the notchback design that also makes sure that boot space is not compromised. The overall design will also add to the aerodynamics of the car.

Sporty Dynamics

XUV900

We expect Mahindra to complement the sporty design of the XUV900 with sporty driving dynamics.  The car could get new fine-tuned suspension that would add to superior handling. A retractable rear spoiler similar to that seen on the BMW GT series is also expected to be included in the XUV900.

Features

XUV900

Like the recently launched XUV700 that got a lot of segment-first features like ADAS, single-piece display, air filter, etc. We expect Mahindra to continue the same with XUV900 and add more features than the XUV700.
