Royal Enfield’s new generation engines are something that fans are looking forward to. The new 410cc engine has been photographed and while detailed specifications are still unknown, basic information about the engine is available.

This all-new engine is a 410cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder unit with an oil-cooler. It has a Single OverHead Camshaft (SOHC) and produces 24bhp of maximum power approximately. The peak torque is believed to be over 30Nm, which sounds good. Royal Enfield is likely to use a five-speed gearbox for this engine.

The 410cc engine will be doing duty on all the versions of the Himalayan, which is expected to come in two variants. One of the variants will be an on/off road bike, while the other is expected to be a city version. The engine specifications of the two variants will be identical.
