Mahindra XUV700 bookings, variants and more

This year on 15th August, Mahindra gave us all a wonderful gift on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of our Independence. Mahindra unveiled their most awaited SUV, the XUV700. The last few days have been a mix of rumors, leaks, and speculations about the specifications and booking date of the Mahindra XUV700. In this article, we will discuss the variants, expected pricing, and booking date.

XUV700 Variants

The XUV700 will be made available in five variants further divided into, the MX series and the AdrenoX-AX series. You get the XUV700 in petrol and diesel variants with manual and automatic transmission. There are various combinations in which the XUV700 will be made available.

The MX series only comes as a five seater. It comes with a petrol engine paired to a automatic and six-speed manual. The MX diesel comes with a six-speed manual transmission and it’s a five-seater. While the AX series gets six-speed automatic transmission and seven-seater options. There are nine variants available in petrol with manual transmission and option of five-seater or seven-seater. Whereas in petrol automatic you get seven variants with three variant options in five-seater and four variant options in seven-seater. The XUV700 diesel engine with manual and automatic transmission has nine variants which are offered as three variants with five-seater options and six variants as seven-seater options making it 34 variants in total. The most feature-loaded variant AX7 is the one that gets all the goodies.

XUV700 Features

The XUV700 gets some segment-first features like ADAS system, driving modes, voice assists, air purifier, wireless charging, 360-degree parking camera, panoramic sunroof which Mahindra call ‘Sky roof’ and AdrenoX. XUV also gets some segment-first safety features as well, driver drowsiness detection, personalized safety alerts, hill descent control, electronic parking brake, seven airbags, and brake assist.

Features that make XUV700 a car worth buying

ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) level 1 includes Forward Collision Warning, Autonomous Emergency Brakes, Lane Departure Warning, Lane Keep Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, Smart Pilot Assist, Traffic Sign Recognition, and High Beam Assist.

The Auto Booster Headlamp gets activated automatically when the car exceeds 80km/h at night increasing the light throw of headlamps, thus making driving safer.

Personalized Safety Alerts lets you record a voice message in the voice of your loved ones and the same is played when you exceed a set speed. This feature adds more human touch to your driving experience while making your journey safe.

Booking Date

Mahindra has been very silent about the booking date of XUV700. But if we look at the way Mahindra launches their cars on special dates like 15th August 2020 they had launched the Thar. We expect something similar with the XUV700 and the booking to open on 07th October 2021. And the car deliveries are to start by 15th October 2021, being Dusherra an auspicious day for buying a car as per Indian sentiments.
