Honda has introduced a special video that takes viewers through the salient features of its recently announced BR-V crossover SUV in Thailand. The BR-V is scheduled to go up on sale sometime next year in India. In the video, Honda have extolled upon the advantages of their crossover SUV. Taking a section-wise approach, the video speaks about the salient features of the BR-V’s exterior styling along with the interior appointments and features of the car. More importantly, the video showcases the BR-V’s strengths vis-à-vis the capability to seat five to seven occupants.

On the styling front, the BR-V drops more than a hint of the Mobilio MPV, drawing heavily on exterior cues. This is inevitable given how the two cars share the basis underpinnings between them. Honda has leveraged the common parts bin extensively. This is seen in the cabin treatment which draws upon the visual hints as seen in the Jazz hatchback and the City sedan.

Honda is expected to load the BR-V to the gills with creature comforts and features.

The crossover gets an advanced infotainment system with touch-screen capabilities. The instrumentation is a three-section affair and offers a great level of detail in the information displayed. The steering wheel is a multi-function unit, while Honda has opted for an auto-HVAC (heating, ventilation, air-conditioning) unit. The BR-V in keeping with the genre offers 50:50 smart folding seats in the third row.

This is a tumble-fold arrangement that opens up extra luggage space when the last row seating is not being used. The second passenger row too offers tumble-fold seating, albeit in a 60:40 arrangement.
