In India, the seven-seater market is growing rapidly. Outside India, too we, are seeing a lot of seven-seater launches. Dacia, Renault’s sister brand in Europe has today unveiled the Jogger. The Jogger is going to be a spiritual predecessor to the Renault Lodgy MPV. In today’s article, we will look at the Renault 7-seater revealed.

Exterior design

The Jogger is based on the Duster. It does get some unique elements. The front gets LED headlights similar to the new Duster. Due to the extra row, the car looks quite big and stretched out. At the rear, it gets Volvo inspired vertical taillamps. Other exterior features include useable roof rails, wheel arch protection, front and rear skid plates and 16-inch alloy wheels.

The Jogger gets a dashboard layout similar to the Duster. It gets a floating infotainment system in the middle with rectangular AC vents. The Jogger will get 7-seater and 6-seater seating configurations. The 6-seater will be fitted with captain seats, while the seven-seater gets bench seats. With all seats in place, it has a boot capacity of 160-litres that rises to 565 litres with the rear row removed.

Specifications

The Jogger is 4547 mm in length. It has a wheelbase of 2897mm and 200mm of ground clearance. In Europe, it will be powered by a 1.0-litre, three-cylinder engine and a bi-fuel LPG engine. The car comes with a 6-speed manual. Renault has also announced a hybrid engine which will be launched in 2023.

Features

On the features front, the 7-seater is got all features that can make it a worthy competitor in the 7-seater segment. It gets AC vents in the 2nd & 3rd row, armrests, charging spots and a big infotainment system. In safety, it gets features like emergency brake assist, blind-spot warning, park assist, cruise control and six airbags.

Will it come to India?

Renault has not confirmed anything about it, nor has this vehicle been spotted testing in India. But looking at his growing seven-seater segment, Renault can bring it to India. Before the Jogger, Renault’s main aim would be to bring the next-generation Duster to India. In Europe the car will start under 15,000 Euros. In India if localized, the car should start at around Rs 10 lakh to Rs 11 lakh.
