The fifth-generation Honda City base variant starts at Rs 13.20 lakh. The V Petrol costs Rs 13.20 lakh, the V CVT Petrol costs Rs 14.82 lakh and the V Diesel costs Rs 15.32 lakh.

Design

The design of the City has gone from a sporty sedan to a premium sedan through these five generations. The Honda City now looks even more classy and premium than before. The front fascia gets a chrome element. The front fascia of Honda City resembles a lot with the new Honda Amaze and the Honda Civic. The base variant gets projector headlamps with integrated DRLs, integrated turn indicators on the ORVM. The side profile of the car looks the same across all variants. The rear end gets newly designed LED tail lamps, turn indicators and a high mount stop lamp.

Engine


The base variant of Honda City is available in three options; the 1.5-litre petrol engine with the manual transmission, the 1.5-litre petrol engine with CVT and the 1.5-litre diesel engine with manual transmission. The petrol engine produces 120bhp & 145Nm of torque, delivering a mileage of 17.8kmpl (with manual transmission) and 18.4kmpl (with CVT transmission). The diesel engine produces 98bhp and 200Nm of torque and delivers a mileage of 24.1kmpl. The diesel engine only comes mated a manual transmission.

Features

The Honda City base variant gets 15-inch steel wheels with multi spokes design. The car even offers a 15-inch spare wheel. Body-coloured door handles, rear parking sensors & camera, an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system and push-button start/stop are also provided.
