The long masculine bonnet, new grille and Mahindra’s new logo are a highlight of the XUV700 as well. On the interior front, it will get light-coloured interiors.
In terms of dimensions, the SUV in its MX variant will be exactly similar to other variants. The car will be 4695mm in length, 1890mm in width & 1755mm in height. It sits on a wheelbase of 2750mm. The MX variant will come with both petrol and diesel engine options. The petrol engine is the 2.0-litre mStallion turbo-petrol unit that is tuned to produce 197bhp & 380Nm of torque.
The diesel engine is a 2.2-litre mHawk unit. It will be made available with a lower state of tune for the MX variant, capable of producing 153bhp & 360Nm of torque. The petrol engine will be made available with both manual and automatic options, while the diesel will be limited to a manual gearbox only in this variant.
Mahindra XUV700 base model features
The MX variant comes with a decent set of features. It gets an 8-inch infotainment system with Android Auto, steering mounted controls, a 7-inch instrument cluster, power-adjustable ORVMs and day-night IRVM. In terms of safety, it will come with dual airbags and ABS with EBD.
Pricing and should you buy it?
The MX variant comes with 5-seater and 7-seater options. The price of the MX 5-seater petrol variant is Rs 11.99 lakh and the price of the MX 5-seater diesel starts from Rs 12.49 lakh (all prices ex-showroom). The MX variant offers a big car with powerful engines. It also comes loaded with useful features. This variant provides good for your money and is definitely a steal for its price.
