Tata Tigor EV unveiled

The Tigor EV is based on the normal Tigor. The Tigor EV is a compact sedan. In the front, it gets a closed-off grille similar to the Nexon EV. It gets bumper integrated DRLs and projector headlamps. Other highlights include blue accents around the car to give it an EV look. Tata’s EV-specific Signature Teal Blue colour is extended to the Tigor EV as well. It also comes with alloy wheels with blue accents. In the interior, the cabin is similar to the normal Tigor with some hints of EV blue colour.

Performance and battery

The Ziptron technology is the main highlight of the new Tigor EV. The car gets a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor. The Tigor EV generates power figures of 55kW (74bhp). The car also delivers 170Nm of torque. To compare, the Nexon EV puts out 127bhp and 245Nm of torque. Tata claims that their new EV can do 0-60km/h in 5.7 seconds. The Tigor comes with an IP67-rated 26kWh high energy density Lithium-ion battery.
