Waiting for Hyundai i20 N Line? Important details LEAKED
Hyundai has been enjoying a very successful run in the Indian car market for many years now. It is known for its trendsetting products, engines and transmissions. Recently Hyundai confirmed that they are bringing the N Line products to India by releasing a teaser. The first one will be the i20 N Line based on the latest-generation i20 sold in India. Now some important information has been leaked regarding the i20 N Line. In today’s article, we will be looking at the important details regarding the Hyundai i20 N Line.
Hyundai i20 N Line variants
A leaked document from the Type Approval Certificate has shed light on the variant details and specifications. The Hyundai i20 N Line will broadly be divided into two variants viz. N6 & N8. The N Line range will start with i20 N Line N6 1.0 Turbo GDI iMT variant that will be based on the Sports trim of the i20. The i20 N Line N8 iMT will be the next on offer. The top-spec variant will be the i20 N Line N8 DCT.
All three variants will be using the same 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine capable of producing 118bhp & 172Nm of torque. As mentioned above, gearbox options will include iMT and DCT, depending on the variants. The Hyundai i20 N Line will be 3995 mm in length, 1775 mm in width and 1505 mm in height. It will have a wheelbase of 2580mm.
What do we already know?
The N Line products are inspired by Hyundai’s N performance-focused cars but only come with cosmetic changes. The i20 N Line will get a lot of cosmetic changes on the outside when compared to the regular i20. The car will come with sporty bumpers and a rear diffuser. Moreover, a new textured grille with ‘N’ badging, side skirts, chromed twin-exhausts, triangular rear fog lamp and new dual-tone alloys will also be on offer. In the interior, the car will sport an N Line steering wheel, gear knob with red stitching, ambient lights and sporty seats. We are expecting exclusive colour options for the N Line variants.
Hyundai i20 N Line expected launch and pricing
Hyundai has recently teased the N Line cars for India. i20 N Line will be the first on the list. The car is expected to be launched soon. With the variant layout now leaked, we expect the i20 N Line variants to start somewhere around Rs 10.50 lakh (ex-showroom).
