Upcoming cars from Maruti Suzuki you should watch out for
Maruti Suzuki has been the largest automobile manufacturer in our country for a very long time. People have loved the brand’s products due to their affordability, low cost of maintenance and great fuel efficiency. Maruti has not launched many products this year, but Maruti has a sleeve of upcoming products. Maruti is bringing new generations of its popular cars and also some new cars to heat the competition. In today’s article will be looking at four upcoming cars from Maruti that you should watch out for.
New-generation Maruti Celerio
The new-generation Celerio is expected to be launched in the next few weeks. It will be based on the Heartect platform similar to most other Maruti cars. The new Celerio will get a completely new design with a more rounded profile and curves. It will also get a new interior to go with the new exterior design. It is mostly expected to come with a 1.2-litre and a 1.0-litre petrol engine option. Moreover, we expect the car to get a CNG option at the time of launch or in the future. Features it might come with are a SmartPlay touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto & Apple CarPlay, reverse parking sensors and automatic climate control.
New-generation Maruti Alto
Maruti Alto is another important product for the brand. Alto as a product is known for its low maintenance cost and high reliability. The new generation of the Alto is expected soon. The car will be based on the Heartect platform. The new-gen car is expected to get a rounded design, similar to the upcoming Celerio. The Alto will also get a better interior design with an updated dashboard layout. Other expected features include a new multi-function steering wheel, a new AC vent design and new seating & upholstery.
Maruti Jimny
The Maruti Jimny five-door is finally expected to make its debut in the country, mostly by the end of this year or early next year. Maruti would look to offer a value for money lifestyle SUV. The Jimny will come with a 1.5-litre K15B engine, the same engine that powers Vitara Brezza, S-Cross, Ciaz and the Ertiga in our market. Gearbox options will include a five-speed manual and a four-speed torque converter automatic. We might see the all-wheel-drive being offered with some variants. Whether Maruti will bring a diesel engine for the Jimny remains to be seen.
Maruti Vitara Brezza CNG
The Vitara Brezza has been one of the best selling cars in its segment. This feat has been achieved without the availability of a diesel engine. Maruti is working on a diesel engine but it will still take some time. Considering the rising fuel prices, Maruti may launch a CNG version of the Brezza before the diesel engine is ready. The car is expected to remain the same. With that being said, you will have to compromise on the boot space due to the CNG kit. Moreover, performance is also expected to take a hit due to the CNG.
