Citroen entered the Indian car market last year with its C5 Aircross. Though a great car, it is a bit on the expensive side. To cater to a larger audience, Citroen will be looking to bring in more affordable cars. Citroen has planned to launch three models in India by 2023. The first of these will be a compact SUV expected to launch this year. Then the company is expected to launch a product to rival the Hyundai Creta. Recently a Peugeot 2008 was spotted testing in India. In today’s article will be discussing this Rs 12 lakh Citroen SUV that is expected to come to India.
What is it hinting towards?
The Peugeot 2008 crossover SUV has been spotted in testing India without any camouflage. The Peugeot brand is not coming to India, as the Stellantis group is focusing on the Citroen brand for India. The Peugeot 2008 is based on the same CMP1 platform, which underpins the upcoming Citroen C3 crossover. The Peugeot 2008 can be the Creta competition car from Citroen with some badge engineering.
12 lakh Citroen SUV design
The Peugeot 2008 comes with a sharp design with a large grille, sleek headlamps, sculpted bumpers, body cladding and sharp character lines. At the rear, the tail lamps have a unique design with a triple LED design and a blacked-out tail lamp. The SUV comes with dual-tone alloys.

Globally the Peugeot 2008 is offered in both petrol and diesel options. The 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine comes in three states of tune ranging from 100bhp to 155bhp.
