Mahindra XUV700 spotted on road – Looks different?
Recently we got to see the XUV700 without the testing camouflage that we are so used to seeing with cars that are undergoing testing. We saw the car parked in a bay where it was undergoing cold weather testing. The XUV700 that was shown in the photos has since then received mixed reactions on the design front of the car. But now the car has been spotted driving on the road and the internet has had a change of heart about this car. Why? In this story we are going to discuss the Mahindra XUV700 spotted on road.

The XUV700 seen here is red in color with black accents. The grille, alloy wheels, pillars and bumpers all have black inserts. The car’s rear also looked a little different than the car spied before. When these same pictures were shared on our Instagram page – people seem to have a better reception for it and are liking the design of the car. The XUV700 seen here also has the Mahindra logo covered on both ends. Will the XUV700 debuting the new Mahindra logo? We will have to wait and find out. Check out more images and information below.
Mahindra XUV700 new features
The Mahindra XUV700 spotted on road is going to pack some new advanced features for comfort, convenience and safety. The car is getting Mahindra’s new connected car technology – AdrenoX, driving modes and voice assist. The Skyroof will be the biggest panoramic sunroof in its class. In terms of safety, the car will get a air purifier that acts against viruses, auto-booster headlamps and driver drowsiness alert system. The car will also get regular safety features like ABS, EBD, six-plus airbags and more.
The XUV700 is going to get 3D surround sound speakers, a large touchscreen integrated with the instrument cluster and more first in class features. We expect this car to get All-Wheel-Drive and Level 1 ADAS – Autonomous Driver Assist System.
Mahindra XUV700 spotted Specifications
The XUV700 is going to come with the options of petrol and diesel engines. The cars will get options of manual and automatic gearbox units for both cars. The 2.0-litre turbo petrol motor is going to be the most powerful in it’s class with 200bhp and the diesel engine will be a 2.2-litre unit that will make 185bhp.
Launch, Price and Competition
The Mahindra XUV700 will be revealed officially later this month on the 15th of August. The car will go on sale in September mostly. We expect the pricing of this new seven seater SUV to be around Rs 15 lakhs to Rs 22 lakhs (ex-showroom). The car will compete with SUVs like the Hyundai Alcazar, Tata Safari, MG Hector Plus, Toyota Innova and the upcoming Jeep H6.
