Design

The Tata HBX launching will carry forward the Impact 2.0 design language. It will get headlights and DRL clusters like the Harrier and Safari giving it an SUV family look. The HBX will also get a glossy black grille, faux skid plate on the bumper and diamond-cut alloy wheels. The car would be sub-four meters and will carry a tallboy design language.

Tata HBX launching Specifications

The Tata HBX will be powered by the same 1.2-litre Revotron engine that powers other Tata cars in India. Transmission options for this upcoming Tata SUV in India will probably include a five-speed manual gearbox as standard and an optional AMT unit. Due to the stringent BS6 norms, we might not see the diesel engine in the Tata HBX. We could see a performance-oriented variant in the future.

Features

The overall layout of the Tata HBX interiors will be very similar to the Tata Tiago. But being a new product, HBX will get extra features like adjustable headrests, rectangular AC vents, floating touchscreen unit, semi-digital instrument cluster and steering mounted controls. On the safety side of things, it will come with dual airbags and Abs with EBD. We can also expect the car to get a basic version of IRA connected car technology making it the cheapest car to get the feature from Tata.
