Next-Gen VW Polo – Rendered Image

The VW Polo has been around for six years now and as it completes is product life cycle, a new generation of the Polo is already in the works, for a likely 2017 debut.

A rendered image of the car has been released.

A few details of the all-new Polo are known, however a rendering by Theophilus Chin gives us an idea of how the car may actually look. The rendering is for the five-door version and the new Polo may not have the three-door version.

 The new Polo seems to be inspired from the Golf, as well as the Volkswagen Sport Coupe Concept GTE. The rendering sure does look exciting.

As per Heinz-Jakob Neusser, the member of the board of management for the VW brand, the new Polo will be underpinned by the current MQB platform, and this platform is called the MQB A0 for the Polo.

 The next-gen Polo will have an option of three and four-cylinder petrol and diesel engines with a manual and dual-clutch transmission being offered. So that makes quite a combination to satisfy a variety of demands globally.

The Polo in India has received a recent facelift which was quite an improvement over the earlier Polo, in terms of engines, gearbox and cosmetic changes.

The current Polo will do duty in India.
