Skoda has shown an aggressive push in India with its ‘India 2.0’ project. The brand recently launched the Kushaq being the first product of this new project. The Kushaq had attracted a lot of people even before its launch. The good news for Skoda is that this hype has materialised into a good sales figure too. The Kushaq has garnered close to 6000 bookings and has created tremendous excitement among customers across the country. This has resulted in Skoda seeing a massive jump in its sales figures. Skoda sold 734 cars in June this year. In July, the brand has clocked 3080 sales in July. This is a massive 320% growth in a single month. Kushaq has played a major role in this jump. Skoda is known for its powerful and well-refined engines. The Kushaq comes with two engine options; the 1.0-litre TSI petrol and a 1.5-litre TSI petrol. The 1.0-litre petrol produces 113bhp and 175Nm of torque. The 1.5-litre petrol produces 147bhp and 250Nm of torque. Both the engines offer good drivability in the city.

Features have become an important part of people’s buying decisions. The Kushaq ticks this box as it comes with a lot of features. It comes with features like wireless connectivity via Android Auto & Apple CarPlay, wireless charging, connected car tech, paddle-shifters, cruise control, electric sunroof, touch-controlled climate controls, a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system and ventilated leather front seats being some of the key ones. In terms of safety, the car gets 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, TPMS, reverse parking sensors & camera, traction control, Electronic Differential Lock System (EDS), ESC, Hill Hold Control, automatic front wipers and a few others.
Competitive pricing
The Skoda Kushaq starts from Rs 12.33 lakh and goes up to Rs 20.66 lakh.
