Toyota has managed to garner 13105 units in July, managing growth of 143% Y-o-Y. Toyota entered the premium hatchback segment with its Glanza. The car competes with products like Tata Altroz, Hyundai i20 and Maruti Baleno. The Glanza comes powered by a 1.5-litre petrol engine which produces 82bhp and 113Nm of torque. The same engine when coupled with mild-hybrid technology makes 89bhp and 113Nm of torque. Toyota’s reliability gives Glanza a push when compared to the competition. Toyota sold 2636 units of the Glanza in July.

Toyota, influenced by the rapidly growing trend of compact SUVs launched the Urban Cruiser. This car competes with products like Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Maruti Vitara Brezza, etc. The Urban Cruiser has been one of the top-selling products for the brand due to its high safety ratings, SUV-like stance that offers confident seating position & high ground clearance and Toyota’s reliability. Toyota sold 2448 units of the Urban Cruiser in July.
