The Thar comes with a manual and a torque converter gearbox. It comes with an all-wheel-drive option helping it transverse a wide variety of terrains. The Thar, due to its off-road capability, comes with a ground clearance of 225mm as well.
Price
The pricing of the petrol variant of the Thar starts from Rs 15.37 lakh and goes to Rs 17.83 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). The pricing of the diesel variants starts from Rs 15.87 lakh and goes to Rs 18.42 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). With the car costing under Rs 20 lakh, it should fit under the budget target of a wide class of buyers, especially a family of two.
