This front-wheel drive is governed by a five-speed manual gearbox. The Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS costs Rs 8.53 lakh for its Magna variant (diesel).
The Honda Amaze is the economical subcompact saloon by the Japanese carmaker. The Amaze is available in four variants and two engine options. Talking about the BS6-compliant diesel engine, it has a capacity of 1.5-litre which comes mated to a five-speed manual gearbox. The base model, 1.5 E MT produces 99bhp and 200Nm of torque. The kit on offer includes an anti-glare mirror, rear parking sensors, a 12V power outlet and front cup-holders. This variant is priced at Rs 9.15 lakh.
Hyundai Aura comes with a BS6-compliant 1.2-litre diesel engine which is governed by a five-speed manual gearbox and produces 74bhp and 190Nm of torque. Hyundai starts offering diesel engines from the S variant of this car. In-dash music system, rear AC vents, rear parking sensors, tilt-adjustable steering, front and rear cup-holders, cooled glove box and steering mounted controls are some key features of this variant. The S variant (diesel) is priced at Rs 9.40 lakh.
Mechanically, the Figo offers a BS6-compliant 1.5-litre diesel engine in its Titanium 1.5 TDCi variant. The engine is governed by a five-speed manual gearbox and produces 99bhp and 215Nm of torque. Talking about features of the base trim, we have a vanity mirror for co-driver, cabin-boot access, anti-glare mirrors, rear parking sensors, a 12V power outlet and steering-mounted controls. The Ford Figo Titanium 1.5 TDCi comes in at a price of Rs 9.46 lakh.
The sporty hatchback from the Korean automaker is in its third generation for the Indian car market. The Hyundai i20’s Magna trim comes with a BS6-compliant 1.5-litre diesel engine governed by a six-speed manual gearbox. Mahindra Bolero Neo
Mahindra launched the Bolero Neo recently. This diesel-powered rear-wheel driven SUV is equipped with the BS6-compliant 1.5-litre mHawk engine which is governed by a five-speed manual gearbox. It produces 100bhp and 260Nm of torque. The Bolero Neo’s N4 trim offers rear parking sensors, power windows, ABS with EBD, Micro-Hybrid technology and Eco mode as some of the key features. The Bolero Neo N4 variant is priced at Rs. 10.12 lakh.
The Tata Nexon is equipped with a BS6-compliant 1.5-litre Turbocharged Revotorq diesel engine which puts out 108bhp and 260Nm of torque. XE variant offers a six-speed manual gearbox. Key features include internally adjustable ORVM, cabin-boot access, vanity mirror for co-driver, rear parking sensors and tilt-adjustable steering wheel. The base model has been priced at Rs 10.14 lakh.
