Engine and Performance

mahindra bolero neo launched

The Bolero Neo gets a 1.5-litre diesel engine (with Micro Hybrid technology). The engine produces 100bhp and 260Nm of torque. The Bolero Neo comes mated with a 5-speed manual gearbox.  It gets electronic start-stop technology as well as Eco drive mode for maximising fuel efficiency.

Should you buy it?

The base variant (N4) of the Bolero Neo is similar in mechanical capabilities when compared to the currently available top-of-the-line variant (N10). The only things that it lacks are features. These features can be added through the aftermarket route, given you do care a lot about elements like a touchscreen infotainment system, alloy wheels, etc. With that being said, it gets all the safety features that the top variant gets, except for an ISOFIX child mount. Overall, the Bolero Neo N4 variant is a great package and a value for the money option if you are interested in its capabilities and do not care much about features.
