Maruti has brought in some Christmas cheer in Tier-I cities with the introduction of a limited edition variant of their S-Cross premium-crossover. Christened the S-Cross Premia, it is based on the Delta trim of the DDiS 200 variant of the car, and comes kitted with added accessories.

The S-Cross Premia special edition gets four key additions over the existing kit of the Delta DDiS 200. The car now comes with alloy wheels and it gets fog-lamps out front as standard. There’s a reverse camera based parking assist system while a five inch, Garmin navigation unit rounds off the limited edition goodies. In all other aspects, the S-Cross Premia special edition stays true to the Delta DDiS 200 variant that it is based on. This means that it still continues to sport manual HVAC controls as before. But there’s one key difference, and that is the price. Maruti is offering the S-Cross Premia at a reduced price than the regular car that it is based on. So while the Delta DDiS 200 variant is priced at INR 10.06 lakhs (on-road, Delhi), the S-Cross Premia should be available at INR 9.88 lakhs (on-road, Delhi).

The S-Cross in DDiS 200 guise is powered by the 1.3 litre multi-jet diesel engine by Fiat. With a power out put of 89 bhp and 200 Nm torque, the S-Cross DDiS 200 comes with a five-speed manual gearbox. Apart from this, the S-Cross range from Maruti also includes a more powerful version. The S-Cross DDiS 320 as it is called features a 1.6 litre diesel engine under the hood. It has a power output of 118 bhp and churns out 320 Nm torque.

Interested residents in select Tier-I cities like Bangalore & Mumbai can now head to their nearest NEXA dealership to book their very own limited edition, S-Cross Premia.
