What information do the spy shots reveal?

Mahindra XUV700 spy shots

There are a couple of interesting things that are being revealed from these spy shots. In a quick glance, the car looks very similar to the outgoing Mahindra XUV500. However, the car gets unique elements that give it a separate identity. XUV700 will come with a large headlamp setup, inspired by the XUV500. Stylish LED DRLs integrating the turn indicators will also be a part of the headlamp setup. The XUV700 will sport a 6-slat grille. The fog lamp housing shows a combination of two lamps. We expect one of them to be the Auto Booster lights which were teased by the brand a while ago. The production-ready car also sports flush door handles, confirming their presence. Also, the camera unit on the ORVM hints towards a 360-degree parking system.

Coming to the rear profile, the Mahindra XUV700 will come with huge wrap-around tail lamps. The tail lamps are expected to receive the LED treatment with the turn indicators being dynamic in nature. The car will also come with a spoiler with huge winglets and front & rear skid plates. Also, a shark fin antenna is visible. The car gets elements reminiscent of the XUV500 with some of them being the C-pillar, the alloy wheels and the hood that has been made longer and flatter. Along with these, the side profile of the Mahindra XUV700 takes inspiration from the XUV500. With that being said, the front fenders get a much muscular profile.

Now, coming to some major details! The side profile also reveals a lid near the front fender. With that being said, a lid is already made available at the rear. This is clearly hinting at a plug-in hybrid system being made available with the much-awaited car. Mahindra has been involved with electric cars for many years now, so readying a hybrid system is no big task for the brand. Other than this, a rectangular entity is visible on the lower lip of the front bumper. This indicates at the ADAS system being present on the car. Taking into consideration all the details, the car in the spy shots is mostly the top-of-the-line variant of this premium 7-seater.

What else do we know about the Mahindra XUV700?

We had brought to you exclusive interior spy shots of the XUV700 a while ago. The car will come with single-piece display housing the touchscreen infotainment system and digital instrument cluster, leather-wrapped multi-function steering wheel, dual-zone climate control, electronic parking brake with Auto Hold, wireless charging, drive modes and push start-stop with keyless entry. The Mahindra XUV700 will also come with the biggest-in-segment panoramic sunroof (Skyroof) and personalised voice alerts when the car crosses 80km/h. Mahindra will also load the upcoming XUV700 with the most powerful petrol and diesel engines in the segment along with the AWD system. A poster from the factory was also leaked a while ago, hinting at the production planned to start this month. We expect the car to launch somewhere around August.
