Citroen C3 spied again – New Details
Citroen, a short while after its debut with the C5 Aircross had moved on to working on a compact SUV for the buyers here. The brand needs an affordable car that can help it reach more customers and thus improve its market penetration in the country, and that is exactly what the C3 could do for the brand. The car has been spotted testing on quite a few occasions. Today, we have received another spy shot of the Citroen C3. This article will deal with the Citroen C3 that has been spied on and the information that we are able to make out of it.
What information is being revealed?
Looking at the wheels, the steel rims clearly indicate that the test mule is either the base variant or one of the lower variants. The C3 will come with old-school pull and lift door handles, at least with the lower variants. Also, these variants of the Citroen C3 will get roof rails and a rear spoiler. The car will get side claddings as can be seen in the spy shot. Other than these, the styling cues on the test mule closely resemble the scaled-down models of the Citroen C3 that were leaked a while ago.
What is the Citroen C3 expected to come with?
The car is expected to come with the signature elements that the brand uses for its cars. Coloured accents on the exterior and Citroen’s signature grille are expected. We also expect Citroen C3 to come with premium interiors with comfortable seating & upholstery. The C3 will be based on the brand’s CMP platform. On the features front, we expect the brand to load the car with features that will help it take on the already established rivals. A fully digital instrument cluster, wireless Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, a big touchscreen infotainment system and wireless charging could be some of the key ones. This compact SUV will mostly come powered by a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine. Citroen will take a miss on diesel engines when it comes to this compact SUV. The car could be priced somewhere around Rs 6.5 lakhs to s 12 lakhs (ex-showroom). We expect Citroen to introduce this car by the end of this year.
