The premium 7-seater is aimed at customers who are looking for an affordable yet spacious SUV which can offer them practicality along with the usual benefits of ownership of an SUV like massive road presence, better seating position and high ground clearance. The Hyundai Alcazar takes direct competition from other 7-seaters like Tata Safari and MG Hector Plus. With that being said, many other cars fall in the price bracket of the Alcazar. The petrol and diesel engines on both cars come mated to manual and automatic gearboxes. Elantra returns a fuel efficiency of 15kmpl and 17.32kmpl with petrol (MT,AT) and diesel (MT,AT) engines respectively. The Alcazar returns a fuel efficiency of 14.5kmpl (P,MT), 14.2kmpl (P,AT), 20.4kmpl (D,MT) and 18.1kmpl (D,AT).  The Elantra sits on 16-inch wheels whereas the Alcazar sits on 18-inch wheels.
