Now if we compare the engines of the Hyundai Alcazar to that of the Hyundai Tucson then the 2.0-litre petrol engine is almost the same. Both these engines make about 157 bhp of power. The Tucson has an older version of this engine and is slightly less powerful but it makes power at slightly lower rpm. The Hyundai Alcazar has a maximum torque of 191Nm whereas the Tucson has 1Nm more. Being a 5-seater, the Tucson has been tuned more towards efficiency but makes power lower in the rev-range. Both these petrol engines are equipped with a six-speed automatic (torque converter) gearbox. Hyundai Alcazar has the advantage here as it gets both Sports mode as well as paddle shifters.

Note that the seven-seater Alcazar is only 20mm longer than the Hyundai Tucson which is a 5 seater. There is a difference of 90mm when we compare their wheelbases. The second-row space in both these vehicles is quite spacious and comfortable. The Hyundai Tucson is slightly wider at 1850mm whereas the Hyundai Alcazar is 1790mm wide. Tucson gets a fuel tank of 62 litres whereas the Hyundai Alcazar gets a fuel tank of 50 litres.

This car has a lot of modern features and it does stand out in front of Tucson. Also, you will save slightly and also get the top-end diesel automatic variant at 24.44 lakhs. The only case you should consider the Hyundai Tucson is when you want to buy a unique five-seater vehicle in the price range of 26 lakhs to 32 lakhs. It is definitely priced premium but you actually get tangible premium features on the Hyundai Alcazar.
