The only replacement that could happen in the future is if an electric alternative is introduced by Toyota for the Land Cruiser series. If we look at the price of this vehicle it is more expensive than the Toyota Fortuner. Also, there isn’t awareness about the legacy of this vehicle in India and the simple and basic design at that price would not be appreciated. We think that Toyota Hilux makes more sense as it is a modern offering. Also as the Hilux is based on the Fortuner platform it would be easier to manufacture in India. Lastly, the brand already has plans for getting the Hilux to India.
