Hyundai launched its premium 7-seater, the Alcazar in the country a few days ago. Alcazar as a product caters to the needs of buyers who want a feature-loaded 7-seater SUV. This product takes on the direct competition with products like the MG Hector Plus and the Tata Safari. Now, a new product is soon going to enter this space. We are talking about the Mahindra XUV700. The product had really been a mystery in itself but Mahindra has slowly and steadily started opening up about the XUV700 via teasers. Looking at the spy shots and the teasers, the Mahindra XUV700 looks like a really strong product that could give a tough fight to the cars in this segment. Dimensions
The Hyundai Alcazar is 4500mm long, 1790mm wide and 1675mm tall. The car sits on a best-in-segment wheelbase of 2760mm and gets a ground clearance of 200mm. Although we do not have the exact dimensions for the XUV700, looking at the spy shots, we can confidently say that it will be a huge car in itself. The Alcazar comes powered by a 2.0-lire petrol engine and a 1.5-litre diesel engine that is capable of making 157bhp & 191Nm of torque and 113bhp & 250Nm of torque respectively. Both the engines come mated to manual as well as automatic gearboxes. AS far as the Mahindra is concerned, we expect Mahindra to bring really powerful engines for the XUV700. We also expect Mahindra engines to be the most powerful in the segment.
