TVS has been working on quite a few bikes for a while now. One of these bikes has been even showcased at an Auto Expo but we haven’t seen any update on it ever since. The company has been focusing on making the Apache brand strong and they have done a successful job with the new updates for BS6. In this article, we are going to take a look at four bikes that we expect from TVS.

Upcoming KTM bikes in India

TVS Fierro

TVS had registered the Fierro name last year during November. This is expected to be a 125cc commuter segment bike. We expect that TVS will introduce this bike at approximately the same price at which the Bajaj Pulsar 125 is there currently in the market. As of now, TVS does not have a bike in the 125cc segment. The Fierro was a product joint venture between TVS and Suzuki and later when the partnership was ended then it was discontinued. We expect that the TVS Fierro will create some amount of competition as it could create an engine that has been derived from the Apache series. There is no official confirmation of its launch or development from TVS so we cannot conclude a proper date or month of when we can expect this bike.

Adventure bike

We think that the Apache RR 310 is a great bike but a lot of people refrain from buying it because of its sports bike ergonomics. There is a misconception or a portrayal that this bike would not be that comfortable when it comes to my daily city riding. The price of this bike is quite attractive and a lot of people want to buy it for its engine but the riding posture holds them back. If you consider the RR 310 for long tours then the bike misses out on a lot of mounting points for luggage. This same 310cc engine is available on the BMWG 310 GS and we think that TVS two should bring an adventure bike based on this engine. The BMW is not exactly as cheap as the Apache. Having a cheaper adventure bike in that segment would give the KTM 250 Adventure a tough fight. The conflict here is that because BMW already sells an adventure bike with the same engine so some agreement between both these companies needs to be reached.

TVS Apache RR310 Sports Naked

Although an adventure bike is quite a bit more to complicated develop from a sports bike, a street naked would be much easier. The Apache RR 310 in a non faired version would have a lower price and the relaxed posture would attract a lot more customers. With the sports naked bike, the Apache name could rival the 250 Duke as well as the Husqvarna by offering a higher capacity motorcycle at a lower price. The expectation of this bike is slightly higher than the adventure series but there is no confirmation from TVS nor there have been many developments in that direction.

TVS Zeppelin R Trademark Registered

TVS Zeppelin

The last motorcycle on our list is a cruiser that has been showcased at the Auto Expo four years back. This was a cruiser that was shown with a 220cc engine and a hybrid electric motor. It had a belt drive and a very futuristic design. If TVS introduces this concept motorcycle as an actual product then we could finally have more competition in the cruiser segment. Also, it is time now that we could start seeing hybrid technology in motorcycles as Yamaha has recently launched their scooters with hybrid boost technology.
