For the vehicle to pass through the water we should make sure that the complete stretch of water is empty for you. You do not want to get stuck just because the car in front of you has stalled. Don’t shift

Shifting gears is not advisable while driving through a flood. If you shift gears the exhaust builds backpressure and the water gets stuck inside the engine. So instead of shifting gears, you could try holding the same gear by increasing RPM. Also, water logging is always caused due to a dip in the road surface. There is no need for you to shift to a lower gear while driving because you’re feeling the lack of power. The pressure of the water could make you feel that the vehicle is struggling but it evens out once you start moving through water.
