Hyundai has been a top player when it comes to offering feature-rich cars. Over the years, customers have started looking up to Hyundai for bringing new features to a segment and starting the competition. Now, Hyundai has its lineup already updated in the country. The brand launched the new Hyundai Creta and i20 last year. Other cars like Verna, Tucson and Elantra have also been updated. The Hyundai Venue was the first product in the segment to come with a split headlight setup. With the new car, we expect to keep the same setup however, the shape is expected to be changed to make it look bolder. Hyundai might also bring full LED headlamps in order to give the Venue a premium appeal. Even the tail lamps are expected to be made sharper to complement the front fascia. Other than this, reworked bumpers, new alloy wheels and a new front grille are expected with the car. We might even get to see Hyundai bringing 17-inch wheels for the car as some of the competition gets them. Hyundai is also expected to offer new colour options that will give the car a fresh appeal.

Hyundai Rs 8 lakh SUV is expected to come with an updated interior. The dashboard layout might be changed in order to give the cabin a new look. We expect Hyundai to bring a bigger touchscreen since its direct rival, the Kia Sonet gets one. Also, a fully digital instrument cluster, similar to the one that we get to see on cars like the i20 is expected.

New engine & transmission options

i20

Hyundai, in foreign markets, offers its cars with hybrid tech. For instance, the new i20, abroad, comes with a 1.0-litre engine that can be paired with a 48V hybrid system. This setup comes mated to manual, iMT and DCT gearboxes. With the hybrid tech already present, Hyundai is expected to bring it for the Venue’s 1.4-litre turbo-petrol engine as well. Moreover, hybrid tech is expected to be the next big thing in the market. Hyundai can utilize this opportunity to become the early-mover which will surely help it in its sales. Other than this, the car currently misses a diesel automatic. Hyundai might fill this gap by bringing an automatic transmission for the diesel unit.
