Hyundai makes products that offer great value for the money invested by the buyers in its cars. The brand has been ruling the C-SUV segment with its Creta for quite some time. After seeing success with this car, the brand is now ready with its premium 7-seater as well, the Hyundai Alcazar. The car will compete with products like Tata Safari and MG Hector Plus. The car got many things going for it that will surely make it a strong contender in the premium 7-seater SUV space. In today’s article, we will discuss 5 new things the Hyundai Alcazar gets over the Hyundai Creta.

Hyundai Alcazar advantages over Hector, Safari

Engine options

The Hyundai Creta gets options of 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engines along with a 1.4-litre turbo-petrol engine. The 1.5-litre petrol engine makes 113bhp and 144Nm of torque. This unit comes mated to a manual and a CVT gearbox. The 1.5-litre diesel unit makes 113bhp and 250Nm of torque. This unit comes mated to a manual and a torque converter unit. The 1.4-litre unit on the Creta makes the most power at 138bhp, with a 242Nm of torque. The upcoming Hyundai Alcazar, on the other hand, will be powered by a 3rd-gen Nu 2.0-lire petrol engine and a 1.5-litre U2 diesel engine. The petrol engine will make 157bhp & 191Nm of torque whereas the diesel unit will make 113bhp and 250Nm of torque respectively. Both the units will come mated to 6-speed manual & automatic gearboxes.

Longer wheelbase

One of the major difference between both cars is the longer wheelbase. The Creta gets a wheelbase of 2610mm. The Alcazar on the other hand gets a segment-best wheelbase of 2760mm. This has been done to enhance the cabin space, ultimately improving the cabin comfort.

64-colour ambient lighting

Hyundai has made a 64-colour ambient lighting system with the Alcazar. This feature is much demanded on the Creta as well. Creta gets a single blue colour ambient lighting setup. A 64-colour ambient lighting setup allows for customizations according to the user’s taste and preference. Moreover, with a variety of colour options, the cabin feels fresh every time the in-cabin colour scheme is changed.

New segment-first features

Following the trend of loading the car with multiple segment-first features, Hyundai has loaded the Alcazar with some unique features as well. However, we will just be mentioning features that Creta does not get. 2nd-row wireless charger, blind view monitor, front row seatback table with cup & device holder, front row sliding sun visor and side footstep are some segment-first feature which even the Creta misses.
