Jeep has been quickly expanding its portfolio in the country. The brand launched the heavily updated Compass this year. After the Compass, the brand launched its iconic off-roader, the Wrangler in the country. Now, the brand is looking forward to bring a 7-seater to the country that will take on premium cars like Toyota Fortuner, Volkswagen Tiguan AllSpace and Ford Endeavour. The car was spotted testing recently, confirming its news about being in the works for the country. In this article, we will discuss the Jeep 7-seater that has been spotted and see what we can make out from the spy shots.

Jeep needs three new SUVs in India

What has been spotted?

Jeep 7-seater Compass

The 7-seater that has been covered under heavy camouflage looks huge when compared to the regular 5-seater Compass. The car gets a big overhang that will accommodate the extra sitting row in the car. Other than this, we can see the 7-seater being tested with the Compass’ 18-inch alloy wheels setup. Although the alloy wheels have been borrowed for the test mule, however, we expect the Jeep 7-seater to sport unique alloys. The tailgate is not exactly upright, as can be made from the protruding design. Also, the presence of a quarter glass can be deciphered when looked closely at.

Jeep Fortuner competition coming soon

What do we know about the Jeep 7-seater so far?

Jeep seven seater 2022

The Jeep 7-seater will be based on the same platform that underpins the new Compass. Along with this, design cues like the 7-slat front grille and some body panels are expected to be borrowed from the Compass. With that being said, the car will have unique elements that will help it differentiate itself from its 5-seater sibling. The car is expected to sport sleeker headlamps and tail lamps that will complement the premium SUV. On the inside, the car will be more or less like the Jeep Compass.

We expect Jeep to load this car with features as well. A panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats with cooling function, a 360-degree camera, wireless Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and a bigger touchscreen infotainment system with U-Connect is expected to be on offer. Other than this, features like ADAS might also be made available. If Jeep manages to offer the 7-seater with ADAS, it will become the 2nd car in its segment to offers this. The presence of such features will make the 7-seater much more luxurious and safe when compared to the Compass. Also, being a 7-seater, special focus would be given to the 2nd & 3rd-rows with the addition of features like AC vents, armrests and charging ports. The car will mostly be made available in a 6-seater configuration as well, which will sport captain seats.
