6 upcoming Hyundai Creta competition cars
The C-segment SUV war is going to heat up soon. It will be followed by the 7 seater versions of some of these cars that will make up this segment. The segment currently comprises of – the Creta, Seltos, Duster and Kicks. Soon there will be more SUVs in this segment and some in the same price range. Here we are going to talk about 6 Upcoming Hyundai Creta competition cars.
MG Astor
The MG Astor is the car based on the currently sold MG ZS EV. The Astor will sit below the Hector in the MG line-up and will be the company’s cheapest offering. The car will try to cover up the sales that are lost by the Hector to the Creta. MG will set the pricing of this car undercut the Creta and will load it up with features.
Mahindra XUV500
The XUV500 is not going to be the car we currently know in the future. The current car is going to be replaced by the bigger and vastly more supreme XUV700. The name, XUV500 will continue in the form of a smaller SUV. A more direct rival to the Hyundai Creta. The car will get everything that the XUV300 gets and more when it come to features. Styling will be inspired from the upcoming XUV700 and its expected to come in the end of 2023 or 2024. With Mahindra coming in this segment with a Hyundai Creta competition car, things will get interesting.
Mahindra Scorpio
Till the time Mahindra readies the new generation XUV500, the new generation Scorpio will lead the charge. The Scorpio based on a body on frame platform like the Thar will be a more rugged and versatile rival. The car will get the same engines as the Thar, 4WD and three rows. It will be bigger than the Creta and the only rear wheel drive option here.
Hyundai Creta competition Ford Territory
Ford desperately needs a Hyundai Creta competition car. After the EcoSport, the Ford line-up jumps directly to the Endeavour, a full size SUV. The addition of a C-Segment SUV will be a good option to have. The car has been on sale in China for a while now. It gets a 1.5-litre EcoBoost engine and is also available as an EV.
Skoda Kushaq
The Skoda Kushaq is coming this month to India. Below you can check out our video on this car’s first look. The Kushaq is the first Skoda car made for India specifically on the MQB AO IN platform. This car will sit under the Skoda Octavia in the brand’s current line-up. The car will be launched this month soon.
Volkswagen Taigun
The Taigun will be coming to VW showrooms soon after the Kushaq. They are sibling sharing the same platform, engines, gearboxes and other components. The Taigun will be different in its aesthetics and features from the Kushaq. Also, being a Volkswagen, a lot of emphasis will be given on drivability. We expect it to come within a month of the Kushaq launch. This will be a great Hyundai Creta competition car for those who want a fun to drive car.
