The WagonR is not biased in terms of offering a automatic gearbox with its engines. TheAMT is seen even on the 1.0-litre engine. The cheapest AMT engine comes at Rs 6.55 lakhs (on-road Mumbai). AMT on this car is quite basic and good for city driving. The shifts are smooth on regular acceleration but do not expect seamless shifts on hard acceleration.
Cheap Parts
Being a Maruti car the spare parts are affordable. Also, the engine is quite reliable and it does last long without maintenance. The engine is simple and even local mechanics can work easily with the car. Now as the car has high fuel efficiency and low maintenance makes for a really low maintenance car.
CNG Option
This car comes with a factory-fitted CNG kit. The CNG option comes at Rs 6.30 lakhs for the base variant. The CNG option is not available on the 1.2-litre engine. This is a bummer but then again that engine is not targeted towards people looking to buy Maruti WagonR for fuel-efficiency.
