New design
Similar to other products like Harrier, Safari and the upcoming HBX, the Nexon is now expected to follow the brand’s IMPACT 2.0 design language. The DRLs will thus take the eyebrow position and the main headlamps will take the lower position on the bumper.
Updated platform
The Nexon, similar to the brand’s premium hatchback Altroz, is now expected to be based on the ALFA platform. The Nexon will now be able to offer much more space in the cabin being based on this cabin. We can also possibly see a bigger boot with the car. Also, with more space on board, the storage spaces in the cabin might also be improved.
Further enhanced safety
As mentioned above, the Tata Nexon is known for its solid build quality and high safety ratings. The new-gen Nexon is expected to come with further improved safety features. The car might get 6 airbags in order to give passengers an enhanced sense of safety. Also, the Nexon might get ESP modes similar to what the Harrier & Safari get.
Better interiors
The car in its next-generation might get leather seating & upholstery. This will enhance the upmarket feel of the interiors. With that being said, the compact SUV already sports comfortable cushiony interiors. The leather upholstery will however add comfort to the cabin. Along with this, the Nexon should be brought with a bigger touchscreen which will have a smooth user interface. The new one will replace the slightly outdated infotainment system.
New-gen Tata Nexon other improvements
The new-gen Nexon might also get an automatic gearbox instead of the currently available AMT gearbox. 17-inch tyres, a TFT instrument cluster and 90-degree opening doors are some of the expected improvements that will surely enhance the appeal of the car even further.
