It has been learnt that Ford might offer the new-gen Endeavour in a total of six variants viz. Ambient, Trend, Trend Sport, Wildtrak X, Titanium and Platinum. This article will specifically deal with the Wildtrak X variant. This variant is touted to be an off-roading focused offering from the brand. Down below, we have discussed the 2022 Ford Endeavour Wildtrak X variant and what it might be like.
Exteriors & Interiors
The Wildtrak X being an off-road focused product will carry its own styling elements which will give it an edge over the regular Ford Endeavour. The added bits will help it easily distinguish itself from the regular SUV as well. Unique front grille & alloy wheels, reworked muscular bumpers, tow hooks, rock sliders, flared front fenders, reinforced skid plates and ‘Wildtrak X’ graphics package might be some of the unique elements of 2022 Ford Endeavour Wildtrak X. On the inside, we expect Ford to offer dark tone interiors to give it a much rugged appeal. Also, unique interior accents might be added to give an extra flare to the cabin. As far as India is concerned, we expect Ford to retain most of the elements of this variant in India as well.
Specifications
The Wildtrak X variant will be added with elements that will make it truly off-road worthy. We might get to see Bilstein shock absorbers and BFGoodrich all-terrain tyres added to this variant. Other than this, the car is mostly expected to be offered with a powerful 3.0-litre V6 turbocharged diesel engine as standard. We had earlier mentioned in our article on the new-gen Endeavour that Ford is also bring hybrid technology to the Endeavour. Coming back to the topic, Wildtrak X could be one of the variants to receive the plug-in hybrid option. We, however, do not expect Ford to offer the V6 engine in India. Rather, Ford might offer a 2.0-litre twin turbo diesel engine with this variant in India. Only a 4X4 drivetrain is expected to be on offer.

Features
On the features front, the Wildtrack X will receive come loaded with features including some off-roading features as well. Ford’s SYNC4 infotainment system integrated into a 12.8-inch vertical touchscreen, a 10.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster, ambient lighting and wireless smartphone connectivity via Android Auto, Apple CarPlay could be some of the prominent features. We also expect Ford to offer terrain management system with the variant, similar to what the Ford Ranger Raptor currently gets.
Launch
Coming to the launch details, the SUV is expected to be unveiled this year. The launch will mostly be somewhere around next year. The car will first be launched in Australia, ASEAN countries and will then make its way to India. We expect Ford to launch the new Endeavour in India by mid-2022.
