Trends keep changing. Nothing stays constant, not even in the world of cars. And car trends change mainly because customers demand more out of a car. They set the base for a change in trend. A while ago, compact SUVs suddenly gained traction and major brands followed. Staying relevant yet competent became so important that Nissan & Renault launched the most affordable compact SUVs in the market. Currently, the market is seeing a growing trend of premium 7-seaters. Tata & MG have already launched their 7-seaters, with Hyundai also ready with its Alcazar. Something extra needs to be done in order to compete with the competition, and that is what Hyundai always does. In today’s article, we will discuss the advantages that the Hyundai Alcazar has over the Tata Safari and the MG Hector Plus.
Hyundai has not revealed all details regarding the Hyundai Alcazar, however, some important information has been revealed that reveal the advantages this car has over the competition. The Hyundai Alcazar will have the best-in-segment 2760mm long wheelbase. With a longer wheelbase, the Alcazar would provide much better legroom and knee room, a crucial factor for a premium vehicle. Against it, the Safari gets a wheelbase of 2741mm and the Hector Plus gets a wheelbase of 2750mm. Moreover, the Alcazar will come powered by a 2.0-litre petrol engine and a 1.5-litre diesel engine that is capable of making 157bhp & 191Nm of torque and 113bhp & 250Nm of torque respectively. Hyundai has made the Alcazar available with both petrol & diesel engines which will be really beneficial for customers. Offering both options will surely attract customers towards the Alcazar. Also, similar to the competition, the car will come sat on 18-inch wheels.
Hyundai, as we know, has a habit of loading its products with multiple segment-first features. Along with them, the brand also offers many features that make living with the car hassle-free. The same will be the case with the Alcazar as well. The car will come loaded with premium features like wireless Android Auto & Apple CarPlay, a fully digital instrument cluster, premium sound system, 2nd & 3rd-row amenities like AC vents and charging ports, a big touchscreen infotainment system, wireless charging and many others. Also, Hyundai’s Blue Link will be a major plus point of the car as it has many important features that will surely come in handy for users.
Pricing is expected to be a major plus point of the Alcazar. Alcazar will offer more than the rivals, but will mostly undercut them in case of pricing. The Alcazar is expected to be priced somewhere between Rs 13 Lakhs to Rs 23 Lakhs (on-road). The Hector Plus, on the other hand, starts at Rs 16.07 Lakhs & goes up to Rs 23.88 Lakhs (on-road Mumbai). Tata Safari starts at Rs 18.22 Lakhs and goes up to Rs 26.58 Lakhs (on-road Mumbai).
