The Mahindra TUV300 was launched in September this year and has been keep the sales numbers ticking. The compact SUV has been received very positively in the Indian market has aspiring buyers queuing up to it.

Reports suggest that the demand for the AMT version is much higher than what Mahindra had anticipated, as per Pravin Shah, President and Chief Executive for the automotive division, Mahindra & Mahindra. The TUV300 is offered in seven variants, out of which two have the AMT gearbox. These are the T6+ and T8+.

Out of the 15000 bookings received for the TUV300,  around 45 percent were for the AMT variant. This is an indication of growing presence for automatic cars in India. If offered in an affordable way., Indian customers are willing to shell out a little extra money for added comfort.

Recent reports also suggest that over 16,000 orders have been taken since the car’s launch and 12,700 deliveries have been made thus far. Pravin Shah has also mentioned that the company will be launching couple of more products in the first quarter of 2016 and will also increase the rate of production to ensure faster deliveries and a shorter waiting period.
