Kawasaki will be bringing the Versys 650 to India in 2016. The bike has been showcased at the Thailand Motor Expo. Kawasaki already sells the Versys 1000 in India and the 650 will provide an affordable option to touring enthusiasts.

The Versys 650 is powered by a liquid cooled, 649cc parallel-twin, that churns out 68 bhp of power & 57 Nm torque. A long-travel suspension, touring friendly seventeen inch alloys and an engine that’s tuned for the low & mid-range revs rather than top end make for a versatile touring machine. The upright riding position coupled with a well-cushioned seats ensure that the long rides are comfortable enough. The Versys 650 is based on the chassis of the Ninja 650R and the ER-6n and also shares the powertrain, brakes, wheels and electronics.
