The Mahindra XUV700 is one of the hottest products in the country right now, even though it has not been unveiled. The car will change the segment standards once it enters the market. The car will be a premium offering from Mahindra that will take on cars like Tata Safari, Hyundai Alcazar and other competitors. In this article, we will discuss 5 confirmed features for the Mahindra XUV700. Let’s go.
Mahindra will be the first car in its segment to offer a single-piece display. This is something that we only get to see on luxury cars from Mercedes-Benz. The single-piece display would integrate the touchscreen infotainment system and digital instrument cluster into a single unit. This feature alone increases the upmarket feel of the cabin by leaps and bounds.
All Wheel Drive
XUV700 will be offered with an AWD drivetrain. Being an SUV, customers would get to take it off-roading whenever they wish to. Although AWD will be offered with the car, we expect Mahindra to limit it to higher variants only, with the lower variants getting a 2WD powertrain.
Flush door handles
Flush door handles are something that we get to see on cars from Range Rover and other luxury brands. Flush doors give the exterior a much minimalistic appeal. It also adds an upmarket feel to the entire design. However, the thing to keep in mind here is that these door handles will be manually operated ones instead of the electrically automated ones that we get to see on the Range Rover Velar.
Mahindra XUV700 will be the first car in its price bracket to offer Level-2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems). ADAS would include features like blind-spot monitor, adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, lane departure warning, frontal collision warning and other such features.
BlueSense, Mahindra’s in-house connected car technology, will come updated with the Mahindra XUV700. With an extension of features, the connected car tech will become more user-friendly and functional. The app in its current setup gets features like TPMS, geo-fencing, live-tracking, live vehicle diagnostics and some others. The BlueSense will be updated for the XUV700 to support features like remote engine start-stop, SOS & emergency functions, voice-controls, stolen vehicle immobilization and other such features.
