Hyundai had unveiled its Alcazar in April. The car was slated to launch on 29th April. However, the sudden increase in COVID-19 cases led to the official launch being delayed. Today’s article will discuss with launch, pricing & booking details related to the Hyundai Alcazar. Let’s go.
What do we know so far about the Hyundai Alcazar?
The upcoming 7-seater will be a premium offering from Hyundai. It will come loaded with elements that will help it take over competitions like MG Hector Plus & Tata Safari. It will come powered by a 3rd-gen Nu 2.0-lire petrol engine and a 1.5-litre U2 diesel engine. The petrol unit will make 157bhp & 191Nm of torque and the diesel unit, 113bhp and 250Nm of torque. Also, the Alcazar will be able to do 0-100kmph in less than 10 seconds when powered by the 2.0-litre petrol engine paired with a manual gearbox. It will get a unique alloy wheel design, 18-inch wheels, Creta inspired front fascia, and a new front grille on the design front. The Alcazar has been developed with special attention given to ride quality, handling & stability. NVH levels will also be heavily controlled inside the cabin.

When is the Alcazar launching?
As mentioned above, the car was earlier slated to launch on 29th April but was delayed due to the sudden rise in cases. The last that we heard regarding the launch of this 7-seater was somewhere close to the end of May. However, seeing the current situation of the pandemic in the country, June seems to be a much suited month to launch the Alcazar.
What about the pricing & booking amount?
The Hyundai Alcazar is expected to be priced somewhere between Rs 13 Lakhs and Rs 23 Lakhs (on-road Mumbai). We expect the variants to be priced at Rs 1 Lakh over the variants of the Hyundai Creta. Also, the Alcazar might cut its competition with Tata Safari by being priced a bit lower. As far as the booing amount goes, we expect it to be somewhere close to the official booking amount of Hyundai Creta, which is set at Rs 21,000. It might mostly be kept at Rs 25,000. Also, with our discussion with one prominent dealer, we have learned that major details regarding the launch & booking amount will become clear by the end of this month. We will have to wait for a few more days before we get confirmed details regarding the Hyundai Alcazar.
