Toyota has a lot of car in their Thailand lineup. As of now in India, we have only 5 Toyota manufactured cars in India – Vellfire, Camry, Innova, Fortuner and Yaris. The Urban Cruiser and Glanza are rebadged Maruti Suzuki cars and soo they will be joined by the Ciaz and Ertiga for the same.. So here are some of the Toyota Thailand cars that we wish were in India.

Toyota Sienta

This is a Toyota MPV that comes in 2 variants. Now we know that Toyota might bring the rebadged Ertiga too but still as we take a look at Toyota Thailand cars, this mid-sized MPV seems to be a right fit here. This car gets a 1.5-litre engine which makes 105 bhp. This is mated to a CVT (continuously variable transmission) with a 7-speed Sport Sequential Shiftmatic transmission. The car also gets an electric sliding gate. This car looks quite stylish than other MPV out there in our market. We think that the design of this MPV might play a great role in the sales of the vehicle.

Toyota Corolla Cross

Toyota Corolla had been discontinued during the BS6 wave. Bring back the sedan is not a good idea right now. There is a clear shift from sedans to SUVs in the Indian market. The Toyota Corolla Cross is a car that makes for a good comeback for the sub-brand. It could be expensive as it offers a Hybrid engine but being an SUV a lot of people might consider buying it.

Will Tata Harrier buyers like the new Mahindra Scorpio?

Toyota Supra

Toyota Supra is a car that is loved by everyone. Technically the current supra is manufactured by BMW but that does not make it any less powerful. It makes for a perfect combination of Japanese and German automotive engineering. Toyota needs to flex its sports arm in India and give us a good performance oriented machine.

Unbelievable Tata Harrier modification rendering done right!

Toyota Hilux

Toyota Hilux is a pickup truck base on the Toyota Fortuner. It is being considered for India but there is no confirmation from the side of the company. The pick-up truck market as lifestyle vehicles is seeming to develop slowly from experimental stage. If Toyota brings this car to India we will see how it will make a change in terms of sales and more people who could not afford the Fortuner might get one.

Toyota CH-R

Toyota CH-R would be the perfect for India. The CH-R has been spotted testing but we think that Toyota has been testing it for the platform in India. Having a Creta competition from Toyota might change a lot of things in the SUV market of India. The CH-R might not be that car but it’s platform would surely be an interesting option.
