Hero MotorCorp launched the its new Duet scooter in Pune, one of India’s largest two-wheeler markets, to cater to customers all over Maharashtra, thereby increasing its focus in this market.

The launch of the Duet follows the  launch of the Maestro Edge, recently and both scooters are now available across dealerships in Maharashtra. Both these scooters are indigenously developed by Hero MotoCorp on completely new platforms. The Duet is priced at INR 54,120 (LX) and INR 55,770 (VX) while the Maestro Edge is priced at INR 56,100 (LX) and INR 57,200 (VX).

All prices are on-road, Pune.

The Hero Duet is an all-new metal body scooter with a 110cc engine, that delivers 8.3bhp of power @ 8000rpm and 8.3Nm of torque @ 6500rpm. The metal body makes it a sturdier scooter that is capable of handling semi-urban and rural conditions as well. The Duet comes with a telescopic front suspension, integrated braking system, remote fuel lid opening, under-seat charging point, side stand indicator and tubeless tyres.

Hero wants to be a dominating player in the scooter segment and replicate the success and leadership that it enjoys in the motorcycle segment. Both, the Maestro Edge and Duet are competent products that are sure to give competition a run for their money.
