Tata Zica is the new hatchback from the Indian automaker and this new hatchback will be powered by new generation of petrol and diesel engines. The petrol is a 1.2-litre petrol that will be an all-new three-cylinder engine that will be producing 84bhp of power and 114Nm of maximum torque. This is an all-new engine from Tata Motors and it will be coming with a five-speed manual transmission. The diesel engine on the Zica is a 1.05-litre that will be producing 69bhp of power and 140Nm of maximum torque. The Zica will be powered by a new range of engines and both will have Multi-Drive function.
The Zica will be coming with a ConnectNext with Harman music system with eight speakers. There is a multi-information display that shows dual trip distances, in-gear shift indicator, distance to empty, average fuel consumption, smartphone turn-by-turn navigation, instantaneous fuel consumption, low fuel, shift gear indicator, electrically adjustable rear view mirrors, two 12V power sockets, 22 storage spaces in the hatchback and 242 litres of boot space.
The Zica looks great as a package and it will be competing with the Maruti Celerio and the Hyundai Grand i10. This new hatchback will be priced at about INR 4.4 lakhs to INR 7.2 lakhs (on-road). The Zica petrol weighs 1012 kilograms and the diesel is 1080 kilograms. This new hatchback will be launched in January, just before the Auto Expo.
